It’s not that great skincare can’t make a huge difference in the appearance of your skin (believe us, we know the remarkable benefits a state-of-the-art skin-care routine can provide) but age, muscle movement, fat loss, gravity and sun damage are among other factors will eventually take its toll and your face will start looking older. Left alone, it’s inevitably a downhill ride from there. Here are a few of our most popular treatments to address these issues.

Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the world. It is FDA–approved and is an effective treatment for wrinkles and lines related to expression such as lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and “crow’s feet” around the eyes. This procedure is performed in our office, and only takes a few minutes. Smoothing of the wrinkles is usually visible 3-5 days after treatment and is maximally visible two weeks following injection. Once the Botox begins to take effect, your facial muscles will appear relaxed and wrinkle-free, leaving you with a much more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.  The treated muscles gradually regain function, and generally return to their former appearance three to four months after treatment. Muscles can be treated repeatedly to maintain the smoothed appearance.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, heredity, and lifestyle.  Most of these wrinkle fillers are temporary because they are eventually absorbed by the body. Some people may need more than one syringe to achieve desired results. Successful results depend on health of the skin, skill of the health care provider and the type of filler used. The effects lasts for 6-18 months depending on the type of filler used, how you take care of your skin, and how your face continues to age. There really isn’t a best dermal filler; which filler substance is considered “best” or “preferred” for you depends on your facial needs, and amount of downtime desired. Our professional injectors will assess your skin and go over all the options available to you and help you decide which filler will best suite your needs.

Sculptra Aesthetic is made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments administered by a trained specialist.  As a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulator, Sculptra Aesthetic is different thanma filler. It works with your body within the deep dermis, rather than topically, to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume.1-3 As the Sculptra Aesthetic PLLA microparticles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production. Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume4 and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.

Collagen stimulators are used to diminish facial wrinkles by helping to restore the deep, underlying structure of the skin. Results appear gradually over the treatment regime (typically three injections over the course of three to four months) and can last up to two years.

Nova Threads (PDO Threads)

Think of NovaThreads as a non-surgical facelift. With NovaThreads, this technique is possible by using a non-surgical lifting technique to treat areas of the face that begin to sag as you get older. NovaThreads are hypodermic needles that contain an absorbable suture made of Polydioxanone (PDO). A PDO suture is an absorbable suture made of polydioxanone, which has been used in procedures, such as open-heart surgery, for years making it very safe to introduce to the body.

There are several types of threads used to accomplish the procedure:

  • Smooth threads for superficial wrinkles and lines
  • Volumizing threads for defining lip borders and diminishing deep wrinkles or folds, such as smile lines
  • Lift threads that contain small barbs to lift the skin up and returns it to its original natural position

NovaThreads makes getting the results of a facelift less invasive and offers additional benefits such as:

  • Long-lasting results
  • Little risk of adverse reaction
  • Little to no downtime
  • Treats several areas of the face and body
  • May be repeated as necessary
  • Excellent alternative to a facelift
